The Alberta Food Drive will be back this year in Slave Lake, conducting a door to door food drive on Saturday, September 29th. Last year’s efforts saw 1157 kilograms of food collected for your local food bank.
Here’s how it works: This year, between September 23th and 27th, bags will be delivered to single family homes in the Slave Lake area that our volunteers are able to get to. The deliverers, local members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, will come back on the morning of September 28th to pick up bags left on your doorstep.
We ask you to please make sure that the bags are visible from the street, and contain only non-perishable food items. (No cash, cheques, or garden produce please.)
We thank you in advance for your generous donations to your local food bank.
